Gladys Allene Pitts, 87, has gone to meet our Lord and Savior. She was born in Rice, TX. on October 25, 1915 to Odie M. and Sallie Gothard Baggett. She was one of 7 children, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She married F. W. Pitts in 1934 and had one son, Bill W. Pitts and one daughter-in-law, Lavena Hopkins Pitts; all of whom have preceded her in death.

She is survived by: her two granddaughters, Sheri Easley and husband Michael of Waxahachie and Debbie Steele and husband James of Mesquite; 7 great grandchildren, Jason Hodge and wife Karla, , Brandi Lollar and husband Tommy, Laurie Rollins and husband Chuck, Brandon Burns, David Steele, Mikka and Marshal Easley; 4 great great grandchildren, J. J. Hodge, Hunter Lollar, Conley and Victoria Rollins; and a very special brother-in-law Jim Pitts and special sisters-in-law, Ruby Dee Smith and Dean Papa.

Her legacy is her will and determination and she will be missed. It is with much sadness we say goodbye and much FAITH we rejoice.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her beautiful long Life will be 3 PM Friday, May 2, 2003 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman and Dave Baer officiating. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
