Gladys M. Manning passed away Wednesday morning at Pleasant Manor Healthcare Center. She was born in Hawkins, Texas to Ocie and Lora (Dial) Butler. Mrs. Manning was employed as a meat wrapper in a grocery store. She was a member of the Ovilla Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by: a son Jerry McDonald and wife Judy of Waxahachie; one sister, Lois Clark of Dallas; four grandchildren Shree Kent and Debra Long of Waxahachie; Tracy Blackter of Tyler, Joanna Sims of Katy; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Kent and Zachary Long of Waxahachie, Bailey and Morgan Blacketer of Tyler, and Trey Sims of Katy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Manning will lie in state noon until 5 PM Thursday afternoon at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 AM Friday, March 19, 2004 at Ferris Cemetery with Reverend Nick Harris officiating. Interment will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
