Geraldine Bess Seefeldt March 24, 1932 July 2, 2010 Geraldine Seefeldt was born in Aberdeen, ID on March 24, 1932, and passed away July 2, 2010 in Waxahachie, TX after a short battle with cancer. Mom was pre-deceased by her parents, Cleon & Ruby Chapman, an infant son Kevin, her first husband and father of her children, H. Robert Misenhimer, MD, his parents Harold and Lena Misenhimer, and her second husband Del P. Seefeldt. She is survived by her brother, Bryce Chapman of Lewiston, Idaho, her children Gregory R. Misenhimer, MD, his wife Linda and their children Josh & Jen, Denise & Bert Torres, and their children Jason & Zack, Dawn & Trey Knox, and Leslie Misenhimer and her children Hayden & Landry Adams; her extended family Dale & Charlotte Seefeldt, and Jodi & Rob Rolland, and their families, a sister-in-law Darla Siver of Anchorage, Alaska, many loving cousins and her beloved horse, Misty. She was a happy person every day. Her kind and loving soul was reflected in her work as an oncology nurse for over 30 years. She retired from 6th Floor Roberts at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas after 20 years of service. She was blessed with so many wonderful friends there who were just like family to her, and we can't be grateful enough for their care of Mom after her diagnosis. She loved them dearly. After retirement she enjoyed working at TOPA and CareSouth in Waxahachie. She loved to travel, play bridge, workout at the gym and most of all, spend time with her family. Her annual trip to Vegas with her Baylor nurse friends was a ritual. We'd like to thank Dr. Douglas Orr and his staff at TOPA for the excellent care Mom received during her illness. Special thanks to Patsy Aday, her friend and co-worker, and her guardian angels from Caring with Love N/A - Dorothy Logan, Kim, Loretta and Shon. She was so thankful for them and they helped our family through this difficult time. Words simply can't describe our grief over her passing but we know she's with God and family and friends who have gone before her. She was a great Mom and best friend to all her children. A memorial service will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie on Saturday, July 10th at 2pm. A short reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hope Lutheran Church, 917 Straus Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
