Geraldine (Jerry) Spradlin Kelly passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas. She was born November 12, 1924 in Pike, Collin County, Texas, the eldest daughter of Ernest Earl Spradlin and Alvis Lee Howard. She married John Kelly, Jr. on August 08, 1969 in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. The following year they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple by Harold B. Lee. Jerry is survived by her sister, Ernestine ( Jim) Myers; six of her seven children- Charlotte Ann (Steven Wayne) Kennedy; Sandra Kay (James Ronald) Burnett; Richard Dean Kelly (Elynn); Jan Kelly Farzan Panah; Laura (Mark) Arrington; Jeffrey David Kelly; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard Earl (Buddy) Spradlin (Trudy), and her son Bradford John Kelly (Rafaela). Jerry had many choice opportunities to serve in the Church, as Relief Society President and Counselor; as Counselor in three Stake Relief Societies; Counselor and teacher in Primary; Genealogy teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and many others. She was a member and served as President of the Civic Improvement Club of Brigham City and was a member of the Wise-and-Otherwise Book Club in Brigham City, Utah. Jerry was chosen as Brigham City's Mother of the Year in 1996. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Jeff Anderson officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Brigham City Cemetery in Brigham City, Utah. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
