Geraldine Buchanan

Geraldine Trewin Buchanan, 81 of Rockett, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born to the late Ernest & Lola Turley Trewin on July 31, 1932 in Duncanville, Texas. Jerry loved sewing and making crafts for her grandchildren. Many children have played with the toys and dolls that she made. She loved cooking for her family and others that her husband would lovingly deliver for her to their many friends. She and her husband devoted years of service to the Rockett Christian Church. She was truly devoted to her husband for 61 years and their five sons. Family was most important to Jerry and she spent her life loving them and creating many memories of good food and fun. Jerry will be missed by the many who loved her. She is survived by her five sons: Steve Buchanan and his wife, Cindy of Waxahachie, Tony Buchanan and his wife Marsha of Rockett, Texas; John Mark Buchanan of Rockett, Texas; Paul Buchanan of Waxahachie, Texas; Doug Buchanan and his wife, Susan of Waxahachie; 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren; She is also survived by 1 sister: Sue Bosher of Frost, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband A.S. "Buck" Buchanan, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Texas. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Stephen Buchanan, Jr., Jason Buchanan, Joshua Buchanan, Joel Buchanan, Justin Buchanan, Nelson Buchanan and Paul Buchanan, Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
