Gerald Cargile Shaw, age 68
December 22, 1936
April 7, 2005

Mr. Shaw passed away early Thursday morning at Methodist Central Hospital, Dallas.
He was born in Red Oak to Pete and Lena (Cargile) Shaw. He graduated from Red Oak High school and attended Dallas County Community College. He served in the US Army, employed with Ellis County Waxahachie, the US Postal Service for 22 years and
Cary Products in Hutchins. He married Sue Ann Nesbit February 14, 1992 in Dallas and retired in 2005. He enjoyed old cars and ceramics. He was a member of Church Of Christ in Duncanville.

Mr. Shaw is survived by: his wife, Sue Ann Shaw of Waxahachie; sons, Derek Shaw of Midlothian and John Paul Rushing of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Laura of California; Deanna Rushing of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Betty Morgan & Lee of Red Oak, TX.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday April 9, 2005 at Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2:30 PM Sunday April 10, 2005, in the Red Oak Chapel, with Reverend Howard Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children International/ St. Jude Hospital.
