Georgie Wanda Wilbanks

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgie Wanda Wilbanks on January 1, 2025, at the age of 83. Georgie and her twin George were born on November 4, 1941 to George and Elender Brown in Dallas, Texas. 

On September 17, 1971, Georgie married the love of her life, Henry David Wilbanks and they spent the next 53 years doing life together. Georgie was a petite spitfire who didn’t hesitate to share her opinions, loved her family deeply, was always “put together”, exhibited strength and class, and didn’t say no to an adventure (unless it involved messing up her hair). She retired from Cardinal Health and spent retirement keeping Henry (David) in check, enjoying family time (especially with the great-grands), hanging out by the pool, and faithfully keeping all hair and nail appointments. 

Georgie (Wanda, Momma, Grandma Wilbanks, Granny, GG) will forever hold a special place in the hearts of family and friends who will miss her dearly (even the unsolicited opinions). She is survived by her husband Henry Wilbanks, children Elender (Jeannie) Krob, Edward (Eddie) Barker and wife Lisa, Lorie Barker, Patricia Alt and husband Danny, grandchildren Melissa Hanson and husband Wesley, Catrina O’Neal and husband Shane, Kristen Krob, Clifford Duran, Audra Duran, Troy Wright, Marcus Wright, Deidre Dunham, Autumn Mundy and husband Shane, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and brother Dale Watkins and wife Leona. 

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents, Elender and George Brown, step-father Edward Watkins, brothers George Brown and Doyle Watkins and wife Freida, daughter Tammy Sims, son-in-law Clifford Krob, and grandson Jason Krob.

Services will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie Texas on January 8, 2025, at 10:00 am.
