Georgia Borden

Georgia Muirhead Borden February 22, 1922 - June 28, 2013 On June 28, 2013 Georgia Muirhead Borden was received in Gods hands. Georgia was born on 2/22/22 to Lena and Henry Muirhead. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 42 years Bill Borden and her wonderful son Victor. Georgia was an amazing cook with candy being one of her specialties. She loved to sew and spent many years sewing for others. Georgia sewed exclusively for a private label for Sanger Harris and Titches. Georgia devoted hours volunteering at the Senior Citizen Center. Dominoes were one of her passions, and she enjoyed a good game with her family and friends. Georgia is survived by 3 loving daughters, Henrietta (Sissy) Borden, Waxahachie, TX, Gena Borden, Longview, TX, and Rhonda and husband, Joe Parten of Elgin, TX. Georgia remained young and active spending time with her 3 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren. Grandsons, Eric Childress and wife Laura, Justin Woodard and Jarred Parten. Great Grand-children; Brayden and Devin Woodard and Anna and Luke Childress, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society. Visitation is June 30, 2013, 4:00-6:00 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral home, with services on July 1, 2013, 10:00am First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie, Texas Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. http://www.waynebozefuneralhome.com/
