George Payne

George Randall Payne, age 60, of Waxahachie passed from this life on Saturday July 8, 2017. He was born August 15, 1956 to Herman R. Payne and Illa Faye Payne of Irving, Texas.

George graduated in 1974 from MacArthur High School. He married Deborah Rogers on October 23, 1976. George was a General Contractor for 25 years. At the time of his death he was an Independent Insurance Adjuster. George never met a stranger. He had a special way of connecting with people. If he came to inspect your home for damage, by the time he left, you were friends.

George had a genuine love for those around him. He was a generous and caring man. As the head of our family, he was an example of love and strength. He led his family by putting God first in his life through faith, actions, and prayer. He lived the message he preached.

George's love of fishing and hunting created many wonderful memories with his wife, children, brothers and nephews. That tradition continued to his grandchildren. They loved to go hunting and fishing with Pawpaw.

George is survived by his wife of 40 years Debbie Payne, daughter Crystal Whittlesey and husband Nathan, son Calvin Payne and wife Amanda, son Cody Payne and wife Jennifer, son Casey and wife Katie. 13 grandchildren; Silas, Poppy, Rory, Jude, Birdie, Danielle, Jacob, Emma, Cora, Truett, Sam, Willa, Randy. Mother, Illa Faye Payne, Brother Russell Payne and wife Joy, Charles Payne and wife Brenda, Sister Carol Pruitt and husband Herman.

George was preceded in death by his father, Herman Russell Payne.

There is a memorial service scheduled Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business in Waxahachie, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
