Gene Krueger, 79 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born to the late Herman R. and Ila Mae Williams Krueger on May 9, 1931 in Valley Mills, Texas. Gene led a very colorful life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He started Texas Hold'em at the Senior Citizen's Building in Waxahachie. He loved playing jokes and making others laugh. Gene owned and operated several businesses. He will be missed by many who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Krueger of Waxahachie; his step son, Rick Krueger and his wife, Paula of Grandbury; his daughter, Debra Parker of Midlothian; a son-in-law, Micky Parker of Midlothian; his granddaughters, Dionne Gresson and her husband, Dusty of Midlothian, Jennifer Parker and Jeremy Carter of Midlothian, Jaime Parker of Midlothian; his grandson, Mathew Parker of Cedar Hill, Texas; his step grandson, Bryan Krueger of Grandbury; and his great grandchildren, Dane, Darren, Dillon Allie, Tyler, Madalyn, Blake, Kayla and Jayden. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Richard Krueger. A memorial service to celebrate Gene's life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Larry Randell officiating. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
