Gary Gene McElroy May 01, 1954 ~ June 07, 2011 Gary Gene McElroy, 57 of Midlothian, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 07, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born to Ray and Frances Cornette McElroy on May 01, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Gary loved remodeling cars and motorcycles. He loved to fish and dive, especially in Cozumel, Mexico. Gary went back to college late in life and loved to work. He owned and operated Texas Make Ready as a general contractor and was very successful. Friends see him as honest, loyal, a great story teller and having a great sense of humor. If life was graded on how many friends you have, Gary would be the wealthiest. He was a member of the Ellis County Cowboy Church. Gary would help anyone; he loved his family and he loved his God. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Charley Cunningham of Midlothian; his loving mother, Frances McElroy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his son, Taylor Tisdale and family- Warren Schmidt and Bradley Crowley of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Tiffany Serrano and her husband, Ryan of Dallas; his sisters, Diana Cook of Albuquerque, Kathy Kommel and her husband, Roy of Ohio, JoAnn Kiker and her husband, David of Albuquerque, and Nancy Riley of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Barrett Baker, Brennan Baker, Anthony Serrano, Sophia Serrano; his great grandchild, McKinsey Pearson. A memorial service to celebrate Gary's life is scheduled for a later date.
