Gabriela Sustaita, of Little Elm, TX, passed away on April 24, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 24, 1937, in Forreston, TX, to Rodrigo and Martha Villarreal.
Gabriela was known for her generous heart, kindness, and cooking. She had a deep passion for her family. Gabriela loved hosting family gatherings, always filling her home with love, laughter, and incredible food. She was famous for her carrot cake and legendary tamales, which she made every Christmas for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Jessica and Tabatha; son-in-law, Jason; grandchildren, Colton, Quinten, and Blake; and her siblings, Santos Villarreal, Lucio and Mary Jacinto from Italy, Joe Villarreal from Glen Heights, Dolores and Daniel Almaguer from Waxahachie, Rosie and Ruben Regalado from Waxahachie, and David and Cindy Villarreal from Waxahachie, along with her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodrigo and Martha Villarreal; her brothers, Daniel Gonzales, Robert Villarreal, Andrew Villarreal, and Andrew's wife, Angie Villarreal; and her son-in-law, David Robb.
Visitation will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 US-287 BUS, Waxahachie, TX 75165, on Wednesday, May 1st, at 6:00 PM. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, May 2nd, at 10:00 AM.
Her warmth and laughter will live on in the memories of everyone she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her love will always surround us. We will carry her spirit with us every day.
