Fred Ballard, 76 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Waxahachie. He was born on March 7, 1931 in Pitcher, Oklahoma.
Fred enjoyed sports, especially football, and reading Louis LaMour western novels. He was most passionate about his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Fred owned and operated several businesses in Waxahachie; Fred's Auto Sales, Central Texas Cotton Company and Areawide Bail Bonds. He will be missed by those who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Ballard of Waxahachie; Daughter(s): Susan Gee and her husband, Doug of Apache, OK., Marcie Lee and her husband, Dennis of Mustang, OK., Sarah Whitten and her husband, Josh of Waxahachie, Texas, Darla Rieper of Waxahachie, Texas; son(s), Matthew Ballard and his wife, Myra of Waxahachie, Texas., Freddie Ballard, Jr. of Chickasha, Oklahoma., Chris Ballard and his wife, Kasie of Dalhart, Texas., Tony Rieper of Waxahachie, Texas., Trey Rieper and his wife, Stephanie of Waxahachie, Texas; twin brother, Frank Ballard and his wife, Sherral of Lantana, Texas; brother, Odell Ballard and his wife, Ruth of Kansas City, MO.; he is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Jeff, Mike, Bobby, Ryker, Dylan, Tessa, Avery, Mattie, Molly, Macee, Abbi, Bryanna, Morgan, Logan, Zack, Hayden, Kaitlyn, Amanda.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, David Eggleston; 2 sisters and a brother; and his parents.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
