Frank Gutierrez

Frank Gutierrez, 74 of Dallas, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Dallas at his residence. He was born to the late Cristobal and Seferina Mena Gutierrez on September 5, 1938 in Italy, Texas. Frank loved to be around his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing and was a big fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. Frank loved to make people laugh and enjoyed being around his friends. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, serving during the Cubin Missile Crisis. Frank leaves behind so many friends and family members who will forever remember him and love him. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Gutierrez; his step daughter, Diane Hitzeberger; his sister, Felipa Torrez; his grandchildren, Crystal Zavala and Sandy Hitzeberger; his great grandchildren, Lorenzo Zavala, Andrew Rojas, Areana Rojas and Delaina Hitzeberger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Italy Epiphany Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, with a Rosary prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
