Frances Dee Phillips was a dedicated wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a caring friend to many. She was born to Frank and Willie Dee Hubig on December 31,1934. Frances went peacefully home to be in Jesus’ loving arms on February 20, 2022.
After graduating high school, Frances fell in love with James Harold Phillips in the spring of 1953 and they were married on September 4, 1953. They had three children, Debbie, David, and Jerry.
Frances was most lovingly known as Mom and Grandmommy. Mom loved unconditionally and always gave to others. She believed God’s plan for her life was to love and care for others. Mom did this very well! Mom loved listening to the birds and enjoyed spending time watching them. She loved reflecting on that God was their creator and being reminded of this brought her peace, joy, and comfort. Mom’s favorite bird was a red bird. Mom had a passion for crafting, a knack for sewing, and could be found reading a good book. She was an excellent cook and her food left everyone wanting to come back for seconds. Mom was a faithful member of her church, First United Methodist of De Soto, for over over 40 years. She loved spending intentional time with her kids and grandkids ,they always brightened her day. Mom loved others till the very end. She has left a legacy of love.
