Forrest Eugene Snyder

Forrest Eugene Snyder (Gene) died May 28, 2004 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was born June 8, 1917 in St Louis, Mo . to parents Eugene T. Snyder and Pearl West Snyder. Billie Pope Snyder, his loving wife of 63 years survives him. Other survivors are one son Richard Snyder and wife Pamela of Encinitas Ca; granddaughter Angela Booher and great grandson Nolan Booher of Moss Beach, Ca; sister in law Betty Snyder; three nieces, Susan Gorgor, Sally Tesch of Waysata Mn., Peggy Rosser of Waxahachie ; two nephews Bill Shieldes of McKinney and Larry Pope of Waxahachie, and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Snyder retired from McDonald-Douglas aircraft in St Louis Mo. He was a past member of Moolah Shrine Temple and the Reception Committee of the Shrine. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Waxahachie, a member of Waxahachie Lions Club, a Ruling Elder of Central Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Waxahachie Country Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Snyder.
Family and friends remember Gene as a gentleman with a great zest for life, love of his family, love of golf, and a sincere interest in all kinds of people.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 01, 2004 at the Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Victor Dindot officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Pope,
Bill Shields, Johnny Duckworth, John Harrell, Dr. Bill Lindsey and Roy Crownover. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Richard Wood and George Hill. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
