Mr. Price passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield. He was born on March 26, 1932 in Red Oak, TX. to Cliff and Irene Price.
Forrest married Clarice Bailey on August 22, 1959 at Dallas, TX. and they moved to Littlefield in 1969 where they purchased the Western Auto Store. He continued to act as president of Forrest Price, Inc., doing business as Price's Home and Auto until his death. He was a member of the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed golfing and walking 5 miles a day. Forrest also enjoyed driving his Mercedes and listening to gospel music and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Irene Price; his grandmother, who raised him, Johnnie Elizabeth Bell; sisters, Mary Bell Vassure and Luzelle Giles; brother, Charlie Price. Forrest was a member of the Red Oak Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
His survivors include: his wife, Clarice Price of Littlefield, TX.; daughter, Carla Ann Price of Chandler, TX.; son, Joseph "Tag" Price of Littlefield, TX.; step-sons, Charles Wesley Padgett of Duncan, OK., and Don Andrew Padgett of Malakoff, TX.; brother, Billy B. Price of Levelland, TX.; sister-in-law, Franchelle Price of Brownfield, TX.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. Price will lie in state 6-9 PM Tuesday night at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, also at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be at 11:30 AM Wednesday at the Red Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Wilkinson, Terry Clark, Larry Wright, Chad Wright, Clint Wright, Kevin Bell and Emil Macha.
The family suggests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Research.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
