Felton Wayne Brown, 65 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born to the late Robert Clifford and Etta Octavi Hartline Brown on September 6, 1942 in Trion, GA.
Wayne was known as "Booger Bear" in High School. He loved to watch football, read and spend time with his grandsons. He was a veteran, serving our country in the United States Navy. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his children, Melissa McGuire of Hollywood, FL, Robert D. Brown of Hollywood FL, Robyn Griffith and her husband, Dan of Forney, Texas; his brother, Willard Brown of Menlo, GA; his sister, Vera Hughes of Trion, GA; and his beloved grandsons, Joseph Williams of Ocala, FL, Joshua Griffith and Nathan Griffith of Forney, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Clifford Brown; his mother, Etta Octavi Hartline Brown; and by his sister, Flora Monk Bowan.
Services to celebrate his life and military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
