Faye Washington

Faye Marie Washington, 83 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Waxahachie. She was born on March 13, 1932 in Howard, Texas to Raymond E. & Mary H. Hobson Davis. Faye worked for the Ellis County Clerk's office for over forty years and was the Ellis County Clerk for 16 of those years. She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Ellis County and a longtime member of the Professional Business Women's Association. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her husband: John Washington of Waxahachie, Texas; 1 Sister: Betty Lou Butler of Waxahachie, Texas; 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Ben (Ricky) Richard Davis, R.E. (Bud) Davis, Weldon Quincy(Punk) Davis and 1 Sister: Mary Tom Hassell. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Walter Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
