Mrs. Fanny Fajardo, 84, of 101 Vanderbilt, Waxahachie, passed away at 4:00 PM, Friday, December 18th, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Fajardo was born in Cali, Colombia, South America, on December 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Samuel and Benedicta (Chacon) Vinasco.
She served as a missionary for the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Colombia, S.A. for 47 years. Fanny married Reverend Jose D. Fajardo on March 27, 1947 in Cali, Colombia, South America.

Her survivors include her daughters, Martha L. Fajardo of Garland, Texas and Sonnia F. Hill of East Texas; her sons, George E. Fajardo of Aiken, South Carolina, and Joe D. Fajardo of Waxahachie, Texas.; her sisters, Alicia Silva of Florida and Betty Garces of Cali, Colombia.

She is also survived by six Grandchildren, Guillermo A. Rendon, Patricia L. Rendon, Jason Hill, Rachael A. Murphy, Joshua H. Fajardo, Ashley L. Fajardo, and a Great Grandchild, Joel Clark Murphy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Ovilla, Texas, at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 21st, with Rev. Vernon J. Sansom, Jr. and Rev. James C. Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday . December 20, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
