Fannie Humphries

Fannie Ruth Humphries, 99 of Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Frisco , Texas . She was born June 20, 1912 in Rankin , Texas to William Alsie & Maud Ella Clark Lyon. Fannie was a graduate of Waxahachie High School ; she was a longtime member of the Rockett Christian Church and was the caretaker of the Bells Chapel Cemetery in Rockett for 18years. Fannie loved to quilt and was very involved with the Red Oak Senior Citizens and was a member of the Waxahachie Senior Citizens and was a member of the Waxahachie Genealogy Club. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son & daughter in law: Charles and Lavon Humphries of Plano , Texas . 3 Grandchildren: Lanita and Mark Lafon of Lubbock , Texas ; Larry Humphries of Waxahachie and Randy Henry of Wylie , Texas ; 5 Great Grandchildren: Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Humphries and her daughter Patsy Henry. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:30 PM Monday, January 02, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. C. D. Haun officiating. Interment will follow at Bells Chapel Cemetery in Rockett , Texas . Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 PM until service time Monday, January 02, 2012 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
