Fanoy C. Strength, age 85

Mr. Strength, a lifetime Ellis County resident, passed away Wednesday morning at his residence. He was born in Milford to John C. and Nettie (Bradley) Strength. He married Corene Graves in Milford August 19, 1937. He was employed with LTV for several years, then with Kerr Glass where he retired in 1980. Mr. Strength was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. He enjoyed dominoes at the Old Depot; enjoyed the outdoors, farming, tractors, etc. He had resided in Forreston since 1948, moving to Waxahachie a few years ago, in October 31, 1997.

Mr. Strength is survived by: his wife, Corene Strength of Waxahachie; sons and their wives, James and Linda Strength and Darrell and Carolyn Strength, all of Waxahachie; five grandchildren, Kevin and Dr. Jean Strength, Phillip and Michelle Strength, Tina Strength Cobb and Christopher, Michael and Jessica Strength, and Amy Strength; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea Strength, Samantha Strength, Gunther Strength, Chance Strength, Jordan Ratzman, Taylor Strength, Bailey Strength and Caleb Strength; special niece and nephew, Peggy and Rusty Hightower; and other numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pauline Mason.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Heritage Baptist Church with Reverend J. D. Courtney and Reverend Tim Gibson officiating. Brother Jack McDaniel will officiate at the Committal service at Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Strength, Phillip Strength, Michael Strength, Rusty Hightower, Michael Brown and Clarence Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Lanier, Truitt Berries, J. E. Stroope, Charlie O'Daniel, Paul Hudson, and Glenn Smith.

Memorials may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund, 1000 Butcher Road, Waxahachie, TX. 75165.
