Evelyn Wilson

Our precious mother, Evelyn, passed into Heaven on Sunday, September 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mother was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C. Alvin Wilson. Her parents and brothers all preceded her in death. Mother was the oldest daughter of Homer and Orlean Martin along with three younger brothers, Raymond, J. W. and Buford Dale "Piggy". She was born June 28, 1919 in Ovilla, Texas. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1938. Mother married C. Alvin Wilson on July 22, 1939. Mother was blessed among Mothers and loved by her children. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Charles Alvin and Annette Wilson, Carol Janice and Ronald Henley; grandchildren, Shelley Henley Vineyard, Trudonna and Billy Peacock, Jason and Terri Henley, Lori and Shannon Sheppard; and eight great grandchildren, Ashlyne Vineyard, Will and Hunter Peacock, Gabrielle and Tyler Henley, Shelbi, Luke and Zachary Sheppard. Mother worked full time until she was 80 years old, loved and blessed by all who met her. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, friend and loved by all of her family and many friends. She was a faithful member of Farley Street Baptist Church and an original member of the Esther Sunday School Class. She was blessed by the Silver Belles Sunday School Class in Kingwood, Texas. She was a beloved member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 45 years. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. She will be buried next to her beloved husband, Alvin and beside her devoted parents and youngest brother, Dale. They will be together throughout eternity in the presence of God for now and evermore. Those serving as pallbearers will be Evelyn's grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Farley Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1116 Brown Street, Waxahachie, Texas
