Evelyn Byrd

Evelyn Farrar Byrd Born May 11, 1920 in Rockett,Tx and passed away peacefully March 9, 2012. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1937 and from Trinity University in 1942 with a degree in business adminstration. She was a lifelong member of Rockett Christian Church. Evelyn was preceeded in death by her husband of 65 years Henry Vernon Byrd. She is survived by sons Charles S. Byrd and Henry V. Byrd, Jr. and wife Sharon, two grandaughters; Karin Byrd, Kristin Byrd MacFarland and husband Scott, as well as two great-grandchildren; Brady and Kacey MacFarland. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Smith Cemetery near Rockett, Texas with Rev. C.D. Haun officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
