Eunice Spain

Marie Eastman Spain, 97 of Rockett, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Walter T. & Maude Holt Eastman on April 19, 1914 in Sardis, Texas. Marie was a longtime and founding member of the Rockett Christian Church, she was a member of the Waxahachie Historical Society and the Genealogy Club. Marie and her husband owned and operated the C.E. Spain & Son Store in Rockett for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her 2 nieces: Betty Eastman and Martha & Bob Hays; Nephews: Joe & Paddy Eastman, Jerry & Kathy Eastman, Phil Eastman, Larry & Carol Jones and Mike & Carolyn Jones. In addition great nieces as well as great-great nieces and nephews many friends in Rockett and the Rockett Christian Church and her closest friend Kathryn Clopton who in her heart was her sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. C. D. Haun officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
