Eugenia Carroll Rabe, age 80

Eugenia Carroll Rabe, lifetime Ellis County resident, passed away Tuesday morning at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. She was born in Ennis, TX. to Jim and Lizzie (Sadler) Hart. She graduated from Ennis High School. Eugenia and Weslie Rabe were married April 14, 1951 in Waxahachie. "Granny", as she was known to everyone, loved to dote on her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the College Street Church of Christ.

Her survivors include: daughters, Leslie Sanford and husband Danny of Waxahachie, and Barbara Drummond of Red Oak; sister, Ethel Redden of Dallas; grandchildren; Jill and Jerry Sliwa of Alvarado, Clint and Lisa Sanford of Waxahachie, Erin and Andy Holub of Berry, Jenny Drummond and Joe Martinez of Waxahachie; great grandchildren, Spring, Breanna, Clay, Cortney, Taylor, Caitlyn, Coby and Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Weslie Rabe on October 21, 1981, two brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday, June 23, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Owen Cosgrove officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Sanford, Clint Sanford, Jerry Sliwa, Andy Holub and Joe Martinez. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Burial Park.
