Etta Mcbride

Etta Mae (Mamaw) McBride age 88 was called home after a long illness to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 27, 2014 at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie. Mamaw was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Mamaw loved to embroidery and make pillow cases and table scarfs for loved ones. She also loved to read. Etta Mae was born in Eustace Texas to Walter and Onie Trammell on October 24, 1925. She married the love of her life Cecil McBride on a snowy day January 29, 1946 in Athens Texas and was married for 54 years. They had 8 Children, 24 Grandchildren and 49 Great Grandchildren. She retired from the Waxahachie ISD, was a long time resident of Forreston Texas, and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mamaw is survived by her children Carolyn Brignon of Red Oak, Floyd and Dot McBride of Waxahachie, Rita and Leo Garza of Italy, Janice and Will Schreiber of Waxahachie, Sharon and Bobby Cooper of Waxahachie, Debra and Ron Childress of Waxahachie, Diana and Tony Davis of Waxahachie and Bobby and Sherry McBride of Forreston, 22 Grandchildren and 49 Great Grandchildren. 1 brother Ray Trammell of Marque, 4 Sisters, Imogene Condor of Waxahachie, Faye Browning of Cedar Hill, Mary Choate of Austin and Melba O'Daniel of Waxahachie, 2 brother-in-laws, HL Huddleston of Waxahachie, Gene and Frances McBride of Temple and several nieces and nephews. Mamaw is preceded in death by her husband Cecil McBride, granddaughter Holly Ann Davis and grandson Phillip Schreiber, her parents Walter and Onie Trammell, 2 sisters Bea Huddleston, Linda Wells and 1 brother Winford Trammell. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8pm Sunday March 2, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2pm Monday at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney Holliday officiating. Interment will follow at the Forreston Cemetery. The Family would like to give a special Thank You to Bristol Lighted Pathway Hospice, your service was above and beyond and such a blessing to each of us.
