Delores Jacobs, 74, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 in a Waco hospital. She was born to the late Charlie & Mary Roe Thomasson on August 1, 1933 in Eastland, Texas.
Delores retired from the Oil States Rubber Company as a purchasing agent. She loved her family and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed square dancing, crafts and most any kind of music. You could find her bird watching and she was quite good at naming just about every bird in view. Delores was a Baptist and she collected Madam Alexander dolls. One of her favorite things to do was to collect gadgets. If anyone was looking for something, chances are Delores had one. She leaves behind friends and family that loved her and will forever miss her.
She is survived by her daughters, Jerri Loke and her husband, Joe of Maypearl, Wilda Christie and her husband, Don of Waco, Anita Edwards of Arlington; brother, Cecil Thomasson and his wife, Carol of Richardson; sister, Winnie Mathis of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Sam Clark, Ben Clark, Brad Edwards, Amy Stapleton, Lindsey Underwood, Kendall Edwards; one great granddaughter, Layna Underwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Su Milam officiating. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery in Maypearl.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the funeral home.
