Etta Louise Catlett

Etta Louise (Allen) Catlett passed away on March 20th. She was born on February 5, 1940, in Grand Saline, TX to Clarence and Gladys Allen, and was the 8th of 9 kids.

She married Billy Joe Catlett on December 31, 1960. They had three kids: Shelby, Stacy and Scotty.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Catlett, her parents Clarence & Gladys Allen, as well as four brothers, Willard, Hoss, Buck & Tink; four sisters, Dorothy, Joyce, Peggy & Doris and other extended family members.

She is survived by her kids Shelby Cawthon & husband Steve, Stacy Williams & husband Eddie, and Scotty Catlett. She is also survived by - and affectionately known as Grannie - by her grandkids Ryan Cawthon & wife Bri, Hayden Cawthon, Colt Saylors, Courtney Forsythe & husband Cody, Chelsey Ferguson & husband Colton, as well as great-grandkids Wesley Cawthon, Piper & Jaxie Forsythe and Whitley Ferguson. Survivors also include many other family members.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Ennis Care Center and New Country Hospice for their outstanding care and amazing attentiveness to Grannie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
