Esther Juarez, 81 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday October 11, 2009 at her residence. She was born to the late Refugio and Elena Benavidez Gutierrez on May 20, 1928 in Zapata, Texas.
Esther was an avid reader and enjoyed poetry. She loved music, especially the Bill Gaither Reunions and southern gospel music. Esther loved the Lord and was a member of Bethesda Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Noelia Escobar and her husband, Joel of San Antonio, Elias Juarez and his wife, Susan of Dickinson, Ruth Ybarra of Austin, Joel Juarez and his wife, Teresa of Waxahachie, David Juarez and his wife, Vangie of Edinburg, Belinda Ybanez and her husband, Ernest of Waxahachie, Sue Juarez of Waxahachie, Margie Trevino and her husband Carlos of Rio Hondo; her sister, Hilda Gonzales of Brownsville; and 16 Grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Benito Juarez; and by her grandson, Jason Escobar.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Rudy DeLeon officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 and a continued time of visitation to follow.
