Essie Louise Brown January 1, 1924 January 11, 2011 Essie Louise Brown, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center of Hamilton, Ohio. Essie was born January 1, 1924 to George William Hamm and Essie Eatman Hamm in Palmer, Texas. She lived in the Tyler area for 22 years and moved to the central Texas area in 2000. In 2008 she relocated to Hamilton, Ohio. Essie was a member of the Meier Settlement United Methodist Church, Riesel, Texas. Essie never met a stranger. Everyone she met became her friend. She had no enemies. Essie was kind, loving and generous. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Emory Hollis Brown, Jr. in 2000, one daughter, Rose Mary Lain, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Wick and husband, Bill of Hamilton, Ohio, Alyce Blasingame, and husband Rodney of Riesel, Texas, and one son, Phil Brown, and wife Pam of Irving, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. They are spread throughout the United States and Canada. She also has a family by marriage in England. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie with Rev. B. J. Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Smith Cemetery, Rockett, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 24th and Tuesday, January 25th at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
