Erma May Kennedy September 29, 1925 October 21, 2011 Erma May Kennedy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Waxahachie. Erma was born in Durham, Texas on September 29, 1925 to Willie Ernest Ball and Hettie Ann White. In 1943, Erma graduated from Corsicana High School. She worked several years for Medical Arts Clinic and then continued her career with Corsicana Independent Scholl District Administrative Office as an administrator. Erma served 30 years volunteering for the Hospital Auxiliary to Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie as a "Pink Lady", proudly with dedication. She was true to her faith and family, both being dearest to her heart. She was so loved will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wallace Layton Vaughn; four brothers and three sisters. Erma is survived by her husband, Edward Kennedy of Waxahachie; daughters, Ellen Roppolo of Seven Points, Texas' Karen Vaughn and Husband Mansoor Azarhooshang of Staatsburg, NY; son-in-law Don Roppolo of Ennis, TX; granddaughters, Heidi and husband Bill Bow with great grandchildren Jacob and Juliann of Waxahachie, Hedy Azarhooshang of Staatsburg, NY. Also surviving Erma are step-sons, Douglas Kennedy and wife Starr of Arlington, TX, Charles Kennedy of New Fairview, TX. She is survived by several friends including her dearest Ruby Hays and Tom Lasser. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church, 505 W. Marvin Ave, Waxahachie, TX at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. A meal will be served for family members in the Life Center at 12:00 PM noon. In lie of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Erma's name. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
