Emily Barber

Emily Christine Barber, 18 of Red Oak, went to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born October 17, 1996 in Irving, Texas. Emily enjoyed being in the JROTC program at Red Oak High School. She enjoyed painting and was a wonderful artist and was a very creative person. Emily loved her great grandfather's cows and donkeys and kept them well fed and happy. She was involved with her church youth group at Covenant Church, Ferris, Texas. Emily loved everyone with a pure heart. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Emily was extremely out going and full of life. Her friends were friends forever and always. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her. She is survived by her mother, Corinne Taylor; her father, Patrick Barber; her sister, Nicole Taylor; her brother, Shane Sherman; her maternal grandparents, Rick and Sherri Brown; her paternal grandmother, Jean Boyd; her precious niece, Alli Reeves; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Masek officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the JROTC of Red Oak High School in Emily's honor and memory.
