Ellen Covington

Ellen Juanita Fletcher Covington, 76, passed away on July 29, 2016 in Waxahachie with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Ellen was born on August 14, 1939 to FM and Beatrice Fletcher in Rockett, Texas. She was employed at Bank of America for 49 years and was the VP of Lockbox. Ellen was also a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Covington; and both of her parents.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Sheila Rene Strength and her husband, Scott; step son, Russell Scott Batson and his wife, Kari; brothers, Jerry M. Fletcher and wife, Brenda, and Jimmy Frank Fletcher and his wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Mallory Strength and her fiancé, Forrest Rasmussen, Courtlyn Strength, Candice Batson and Justin Batson; 2 great grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the employees at Bristol Hospice for the care and compassion that they gave to Ellen.
