Ella Katy Wiggins, age 74

Mrs. Wiggins passed away Tuesday at the Kindred Hospital, Mansfield, TX. She was born in Hillsboro, TX. to Lemmie Otto and Elsie Faye (Burrow) Kirkpatrick. Being valedictorian, she graduated from Mertens High School and attended Hillsboro Junior College on a basketball scholarship. On August 2, 1949, she and Edward Wiggins were married. Mrs. Wiggins was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Maypearl Service Club and the Auburn Cemetery Association. Her hobbies included geneaology, cooking, canning, family gatherings, socials with her sisters, and special trips with Sheila and Jess.

Survivors are: sons, Steve Wiggins and his wife Cindy, and Jerry Wiggins, all of Maypearl; daughter, Cindy Replogle and husband Ronnie also of Maypearl; sisters and their husbands, Alice and Kenneth Gibson, Sheila and Jess Gann and Dorothy Joe Broughton; grandchildren, Shanon Cox, Nicki Farrell, Casey Replogle, Lindi Cantrell, Brent Wiggins, Clifton Phelps, Melissa Butler, Stephen Evans and Kathy Wiggins; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward Wiggins, on July 20, 1997.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 10 AM Friday, February 4, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Wiggins officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Rodgers, Doug Kennedy, Carl Meredith, Billy Sepert, Ray Lynn Campbell, and Troy Dawson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Ray Campbell and H. C. Stinson. Interment will follow in the Auburn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Maypearl Scholarship Fund, Maypearl ISD, Maypearl, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
