Our Beloved Wife, Momma and Granny
Elizabeth Kay Hogue, 71 of Waxahachie, Texas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 13th, 2020. She was at home surrounded by her family.
Kay was born in Dallas, Texas on December 19th 1948. She attended Garland High School. Kay married Loyd Hogue Jr. November 8th 1974. She worked at Guardian Tag and spent many years as a homemaker.
Kay loved the Lord, was a member of South Park Assembly of God Church for several years, and attended New Life Worship Center prior to her illness. She enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. Kay loved to talk and share a good meal. Her favorite pastimes were watching TV Land, Andy Griffith, Food Network and watching the Dallas Cowboy games with her family. Kay’s dedication to her family was shown through her unconditional love for them.
Kay was preceded in death by her father James Billy Collingsworth. Her mother ImoGene Henson, first husband William C. Amick, mother in law, Rosetta Williams, sister in law, Patricia Collinsworth, brother and sister in law Dewey and Zoetta Struck, brother in laws, Kenneth, Fred and Utah Hogue, as well as other loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband Loyd Hogue Jr, daughter, Sharon Junkin and her husband Marty; son Butch Amick and his wife Darla; son Ronnie Hogue; grandchildren; Bo, Brittany, Maegan, Taylor, Emma, Nathan and Abby; great grandchildren, Faith, Lauren, Brayden, Grayson, Jaxon, Harper, Jaye and Kayson. Brother, Jimmy Collingsworth and many nieces and nephews.
