Mrs. Yrlas passed away Saturday at Parkland Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Monday, November 8, 2004. She was born in
Ennis, TX. to Ruperto and Maria (Garcia) Gomez. She was a 1989 graduate of
Avalon High School, attended and graduated from ATI in 1990. Elisa worked as a Senior Court Clerk for the City of Waxahachie for fourteen years. According to Neal White of the Waxahachie Daily Light, "Elisa was totally devoted to her family. She doted on her children and was always there for anything they needed." She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Waxahachie.

Mrs. Yrlas is survived by: her husband, Ernest Yrlas of Waxahachie; parents, Ruperto and Maria Garcia Gomez of Ennis; children, Ernest Matthew Yrlas, Eliza Miranda Yrlas and Erica Marie Yrlas all of Waxahachie; sister, Sandy Gomez Longoria of Ennis.

The Rosary will be 7 PM Wednesday at the Waxahachie Civic Center, 1950 N. IH 35, Waxahachie, TX. 75165. The Celebration of her life will be 10 AM Thursday, November 18, 2004 also in the Waxahachie Civic Center with Father Fred Caldwell the Celebrant and Reverend Arnold Loera assisting. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon at St. John's Catholic Church, 401 E. Lampassas, Ennis, TX. Pallbearers will be Frank Garcia, Jr., Lupe Garcia, Gilbert Gomez, Rolando Gomez, Daniel Yrlas, Johnny Yrlas and Bob Morman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Police Officers. Interment will follow at 1 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ennis, Texas.
