Eleanor Adell Grmela

Eleanor Adell Grmela passed away Saturday at Baylor Medical Center in Ellis County. She was born in West, Texas to Adolf and Caroline Kolar Kocurek. Eleanor worked for the Lancaster School District assisting special education, teaching children for many years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Church of Waxahachie, St. Joseph Altar Society, and The Union of Czech Catholic Women of Texas (The K.J.Z.T.).

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Grmela, sons, Mark & Sheila Grmela, Steven & Toni Grmela, all of Red Oak, TX. , and Joseph Grmela of Waxahachie, TX.; daughters, Janice Grmela of California, and Patricia Grmela & husband Ronald Green of Red Oak, TX.; brothers, Edwin Kocurek of Irving, TX. and Harry Kocurek of Oklahoma; sisters, Cristine Polansky of West, TX., Edith Wagnor of Wylie, TX., Lillie Sellers of Illinois; six grandchildren, Bradley, Justin, Gary, Kristy, Timothy, and Brandon, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends and family visitation will be Monday from 6-8pm with a rosary at 7pm. The Celebration of her Life will be Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at 10:00am with Father Guadagnoli celebrant. Interment will follow at Abbott Fatima Cemetery in Abbott, TX.
