Nancy Eleanor Foster, 88 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at her residence surrounded by those she loved. She was born to the late Royce R. and Julia G. Stuart Meaders on February 4, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Eleanor was an avid golfer to say the least. She loved the game and it was a big part of her life, having accomplished Club Champion many times and received the Hole in One award numerous times. She was a very strong woman and respected by all those who knew and loved her. Eleanor was a marvelous great grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was a business woman in her early years and worked at Ellis County Abstract & Title Company in the early 1960's for 15 years. She will truly be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lynn Foster, her son, Mitchel John Foster and his wife, Sherrie; grandchildren, DayLynn Dodd, Brandy Nicole Dodd-Gilmore; great grandchildren, Kourtney Twilligear, Erica Twilligear, LayCee Potts, Triston Gilmore, JessieRose Gilmore, and Bindi-Eve Gilmore; step great-grandchildren, Stephen Jeter, Jennifer Vestal and her husband Stevie; her
brother, Trent Meaders and his wife, Nell of Yanis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John Dobbs Foster; sister, Joyce Mollenkopf and husband, Buster; and her brother, Howard Meaders.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 12 Noon Thursday, October 1, 2009, where she will be layed to rest next to her late husband, John Dobbs Foster.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Those serving as pallbearers include, Royce Mollenkopf, Stuart Mollenkopf, Tracy Mollenkopf, Steve Foster, Jim Foster, and Doug Foster.
Greg Foster will be serving as an honorary pallbearer.
