Elbert “Al” D. Adams, 89 of Red Oak, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Red Oak. He was born to the late William and Ethel Chamness Adams on May 6, 1929 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Al had big sense of humor and made people laugh often. He was very loving, sweet and kind. He was a big flirt and loved going fishing at Lake Fork. Al was a big eater. He loved to eat fish and just about anything else. He worked hard and played even harder. He loved spending time with family and friends and his puppy Cheyenne and listening to Gospel and Blue Grass music with this honey, Dolores. He had a mid-life crisis at the age of 80 and bought a Honda Trike.
Al enjoyed life, and everyone enjoyed Al. He will be missed and continually loved by so many.
He is survived by his children, Charlotte Davis and her husband, Ronnie; his grandchildren, Lance, Perry and Amy, Shawn and April, Bryan and Amy, Missy and Jon, Laurie Beth and Michael, and Jenny and Jeff; by his great grandchildren, Mykal, Peyton, Avery and Hillery, Ireland, Memphis and Jack, Finley and Nolan, Jordan, Caydan and Landan; and by many friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Adams and Ethel Chamness Adams; also by his children, Gay Lynn Adams and Michael D. Adams; also, by his twin brother, Delbert.
