Elba Cole, 97 of Fort Myers, Florida, formally of Waxahachie, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born on July 17, 1910 in Vernon, Texas.

Elba was a proud member of the First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie and she loved her church. She worked as a volunteer at Baylor Medical Center of Waxahachie and loved helping others. She was a former First Lady of Waxahachie and was involved in many other various organizations. Elba will be missed by so many who loved her and knew her.

She is survived by her son, Howard F. Cole and his wife, Sondra from Ft. Myers, FL; granddaughters, Christine Biederman and her husband, Rob from Dallas, Michelle Baden and her husband, Erik from Houston; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Stone, Jacqueline Stone, and Alexandra Biederman; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the funeral home.
