Ed Louis Brigman, age 88, passed away Wednesday, March 23rd 2016. He was a life-long resident of Maypearl, Texas. E.L., as he was known by his family and friends, was born March 4, 1928 to Henry and Annie Lee Brigman. He was a man of few words, but had a passion for tending his land, where he spent most of his days in his beloved garden, sharing the fruit of his labors with all that knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard-work, leadership, and what it means to be a truly great man. He is known best as a loving husband to his wife, an example to his sons, and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren.
E.L. is survived by his wife, Barbara Brigman, married 66 years, Sons: Fred Brigman and wife Ann, and David Brigman, both from Maypearl; one daughter, Sonya Ayers and husband, Rickey of Waxahachie; six grandchildren: Ivan Brigman of Maypearl, Kaysie Hosiner of Waxahachie, Amy Johnson of Spring, TX, Davie Kujawa of Purdon, TX, Jamey Petri of Austin, TX, and David Ayers of Fort Irwin, CA.; Brothers: Malcolm Brigman and wife, Doris of Waxahachie, and Johnny Brigman of Whitney, TX; Nieces: Kay Smith and her daughter, Paige Taylor. E. L. is loved by all 11 of his great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Annie, his daughter-in-law, Betty Brigman, and nephew, Dustin Smith.
Private services were held under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie, TX. Final burial took place Saturday, March 26th, at Auburn Cemetery.
