Edward Woodrow Melland, age 87

April 21, 2006

Mr. Melland passed away Friday at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab, Waxahachie. He was born in Wisconsin. Mr. Melland was a 50 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a machine operator for Beard Plumbing and had served in the US Air Force. He loved to fish and work in the yard. He was a member of the Evangel Temple of Waxahachie.

His survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Eunice Melland of Waxahachie; son, John Rutherford of Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Charles Hogan of Waxahachie; three sisters; grandchildren, John Rutherford of San Antonio, Mark Rutherford of Arlington, and Nellie Rutherford of Mexico; great grandchildren, Lilly, Preston and Piper Rutherford.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Tuesday,April 25, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park.
