Edward (Eddie) Paul Kuehl was born in Dallas, Texas on June 25, 1954, and called home on March 19, 2020 at the age of 65 with his family by his side.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Henry Edward (Whitey) Kuehl. He is survived by his daughter Tawnee Kuehl of Dallas; son Trevor Kuehl of Mabank, daughter Chloe Urrutia and her spouse Spencer Endelman of Athens; grandchildren Alycia Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez Jr., Kinslee Shafer, Jaxon Shafer, Elayne Rodriguez, Elyana Rodriguez, Kayven Kuehl, and Reese Endelman; brother Larry Smegner and his wife Lisa; sisters Anne Crawford and her husband Brent and Michelle Humphreys and her husband Vernon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Eddie was a long-time resident of Lancaster, Texas and a family man through and through. He loved to help others, whether it was mentoring, coaching, or contributing to the youth of his community. He enjoyed all sports, but he especially loved golfing, hunting, and fishing, along with country music and two-stepping. He was involved with the Lancaster Athletic Association for numerous years and coached many baseball/softball teams. He loved to share his knowledge of the game with others.
A memorial service for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
