Edna Humphries passed away at Pleasant Manor Living Center Saturday, February 17, 2007. She wasa long time resident of Waxahachie and was employed many years at Raney Furniture Store. Previously she lived in the Rockett Community and was a long time member of the Rockett Christian Church. She was born September 7, 1916 in Trumbull, Texas to Clyde H. and Bertha (Taylor) Reddell. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ralph and Robert Reddell; sisters, Mary Smith and Dorothy Raney; husband, Raymond C. Humphries. She is survived by: her sister, Joy Boatright of Sweetwater; daughters, Shirley H. Sligar and Husband Bill of Waxahachie; and Bettye J. Moyers of Lovington, N.M.; grandchildren, Michael A. Hullett and wife Mary of Maypearl, Susan G. Moffitt of Ft. Worth and Mark Moyers and wife Chemane of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Jennifer Moffitt, Justin Moffitt, Amy Madolora and husband Aaron, Jeffery Moyers, D. J. Moyers, John Ray Moyers, Ashley Moyers and Michael James Hullett; great great granddaughter, Paige Lightfoot; many loved nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor C. D. Haun officiating. Pallbearers will be Kent Boatright, Steven Raney, Charley Graves, Charles Humphries, Bobby Goodloe, and Gerald Almond. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Raney. Interment will follow in the Bells Chapel Cemetery.
