Edna Brown

Edna Lafaye Brown of Waxahachie passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in Mansfield, Texas. Edna was born on September 9, 1929 in Arkansas to the late Ezra and Ella Jones Holland.

Edna and her husband Jack was married 56 years. Edna was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a wonderful homemaker. Her love for Jack and her family was beyond a natural love, Edna's love was also a strong spiritual love.

Edna Lafaye was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Ella Holland.

Edna is survived by her husband Jack C. Brown of Waxahachie, one son Clayton Allan Brown of Red Oak, two daughters Jacqueline Hachtel of Mansfield, Ranell Gaston and her husband Gary of Red Oak, one sister Mary Scott of Lancaster, four (4) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren. Edna is also survived by a host of friends who knew her and loved her. Edna will be missed greatly.

Graveside services to celebrate her life is scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home 1826 W Hwy 287 Business Waxahachie, Texas.
