Bo McQueen
September 12, 1946
April 4, 2009
Bo was born in San Angelo, Texas on September 12, 1946 to Rex and Polly McQueen. In January of 1947 Rex, Polly and Bo moved to Prewitt Ranch south of Pecos. He was a cowboy on the ranch while going to school in Pecos, graduating in May 1964. He married Snuffie on December 22, 1976. He, Snuffie and their children lived in Pecos for many years and attended Trinity Lutheran Church. His parents worked the Sid Kyle Ranch and he continued to help his dad with ranching while working for Valero Energy. He was a member of the Rodeo Association in Pecos for several years. His children grew up and married and in 1998 he and Snuffie moved to Waxahachie, Texas. They were members of The Avenue Church and later the Frontier Cowboy Church where he enjoyed helping with ropings and such. He was the foundation of our family, always there to help out and answer the many questions all of us had for him, and was devoted to his wife, mother and children. We will miss him very much and know that this is not goodbye because we know we will see him again!
Bo is survived by his wife, Snuffie McQueen; his mother, Polly McQueen; daughters, Tracie Palmer and husband Randy, Shelly Sweeden and husband Mike, Stephanie Breckenridge and husband John, Marirose Kerry; son, Rex G. McQueen and wife Jenny; grandchildren, Sheri, Chad, Lara, Drew, Kristi, Summer, Tyler, Tristan and Bo Matthew. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex E. McQueen and a grandson, Ethan C. McQueen.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM graveside and interment Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor David Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
