Ed Plumhoff, age 81

Mr. Plumhoff, a lifetime Waxahachie resident, passed away early Tuesday morning. He was born to Edward and Maimie (Walker) Plumhoff. He was raised and educated in Waxahachie, having graduated from Waxahachie High School. He joined the US Army Air Force in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. Ed was a "jack of all trades". Farming was his main occupation but he had been an insurance salesman also. He was the owner of numerous rental properties. He married Annie Hamby in Italy in 1974. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Annie Hamby Plumhoff; two step sons, Don Riddle and his wife, Nelda of Italy and Alvin and Elaine Riddle of Grandview; five grandchildren, Clint Riddle, Curtis and Michelle Riddle, Cody and Carrie Boucher, Jennifer Riddle and Kellie and Kristy Riddle; and two great grandchildren, Clay and Courtney Riddle. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, March 8, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with L. W. Dollar and Alvin Riddle officiating. Pallbearers will be Don, Alvin, Clint, Curtis and Kelley Riddle and Cody Boucher. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
