Earl Esker Harvey, Jr. was born in Dallas on February 3, 1922. He attended Sunset High School. He attended SMU on a music scholarship. After post-graduate work and language study, he served as a missionary to China. During his ministry, he served Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, Wesley Methodist Church, Axe Memorial Methodist Church, Casa Linda Methodist Church, First Methodist Mesquite, First Methodist Irving, also as a District Superintendent of the Dallas Denton District UMC; other small churches and as a Hospice Chaplain. In 1951, he married Vivian Catherine Collier, a church youth director. They were married for 47 years. After her passing, he married his childhood sweetheart, Nova Cordiner, and they
were married for six years. He is preceded in passing by his mother, father, wife Vivian, and son Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Nova Harvey; a daughter Carol and husband Cary Banks of Lubbock; granddaughter, Katherine Banks; grandson Cody Banks; grandson Toby Alaniz; sister Betty Jordan; brother, John Paul Harvey; Patty Palmer, Scott and Mark, Rick and Angele Luedeke, Savanna, and Bliss, wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; many well-loved friends and relatives.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Lighted Pathways Hospice and special
Friends, Mary and Earl Nichols and Dorothy and Wayne Evans.

A Memorial Service will be 2 PM Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the Waxahachie First United Methodist Church organ fund, 505 W. Marvin, Waxahachie, TX. 75165.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
