Mr. Goodman passed away early Saturday morning at Trinity Mission Health Center in Italy, Texas. He was born in Milford, Texas to Willis Leroy Goodman and Alice Cook Goodman. He served in the Merchant Marines in World War II . He worked for Tyler Refrigeration before his retirement.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife, Emma Goodman, three sons, John P Goodman and wife Linda of Italy, Jack Goodman and wife Jane of Duncanville and Charles Wray and wife Beverly of Lucus, Texas, two daughters, Bonita Goodman French and husband Darrell of Duncanville and Martha Norcross and husband Larry of Italy, Texas . Also surviving are one sister, Geneva Greer of San Antonio, Texas,10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home Chapel in Italy. Services will be on Monday , January 26, 2004 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church in Italy, Texas.with Reverend Ronnie Dabney and Rev Shane Norcross officiating. Interment will follow in the Milford Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Norman Williams and J.E.(Corky) Morgan.
